Yoga for Teens
Yoga for Middleschoolers & Highschoolers is back. We are so excited! In the busy world we find ourselves in, being pulled in a million directions, stressed about school, sports, our personal lives, social media, what to be when we grow up, we often get lost in the busy-ness. Yoga teaches us to slow down, to listen to our bodies, to tune out the outside world so we can tune into ourselves. We all need a few minutes of peace and quiet and we need to learn how to cultivate that, while connecting to our mind, body and true self. In this 60 minute yoga class, geared toward teens, we will begin our practice with breathwork, learning tools to quiet anxiety and intrusive thoughts. We will then move through yoga poses meant to strengthen, stretch and empower students. We will end our practice with a guided meditation, leaving you feeling calm and at ease, ready to take on the week ahead of you. No previous yoga experience needed.
