DESCRIPTION:Are you ready to begin babysitting? Whether you're just starting out or have already been babysitting\, you're a candidate for Basic Babysitter training. Participants will learn the ins and outs of being a sitter that parents will invite back.\n\n\n\nTopics covered include: getting and accepting the job\; basic baby care\; medical emergencies\; household emergencies\; foods and snacks\; behavior management\; child development\; and creative activities. Registration fee includes: educational materials\, pizza lunch\, babysitter success kit and certificates of attendance. \n\n\n\n"Handling medical emergencies" is taught by a nurse from Nationwide Children's Hospital.\n\n"Nutrition and snacks" will be taught by a registered dietician from Nationwide Children's Hospital.\n\n"Creative Activities and behavior management" will be taught by a child life specialist or early childhood educator from Nationwide Children's Hospital.
