SUMMARY:Being Civil in a Diverse Workplace
DESCRIPTION:Being Civil in a Diverse Workplace\n\nIt's not always a given that you will like the people that you work with\, but it is still necessary to be civil to one another in order to maintain an environment conducive for working. In this session\, participants will explore various techniques for overcoming conflict\, bullying and rudeness. Cultural sensitivity and its necessity in the workplace will also be covered in this interactive session.\n\n\n\n\n\nKenston Henderson Sr.\n\nThis virtual training session will be facilitated by Kenston Henderson Sr. Development Coordinator with Citywide Training & Development (CTD)\, a division of the City of Columbus Human Resources Department. Kenston's passion is to ignite\, inspire and empower people to not just exist but to live with purpose. Kenston is the Training & Development Coordinator with the City of Columbus\, a TEDx Signature speaker\, a certified John Maxwell Leadership team member\, and a Culture Transformation Champion. He is a motivational speaker\, corporate trainer and has given hundreds of presentations and spoken to thousands of people in over 30 states. He has facilitated soft skills workshops\, leadership conferences\, correctional facilities\, conventions\, schools\, and youth camps.\n\n\n\n2021 Monthly Diversity\, Equality & Inclusion Training\n\nThe New Albany Chamber presents free monthly Diversity\, Equality & Inclusion Training sessions throughout 2021. The sessions are free and can be attended as stand-alone events or consecutively. Why this training now? We want to help our member businesses and community create or improve inclusive\, respectful workplaces.
