DESCRIPTION:Celebrate Earth Day to Arbor Day with the City of New Albany this April 21-27! With activities including a compost story time\, an open house at the future community garden site at Taylor Farm Park\, and Arbor Day celebration\, there is something for everyone who wants to help make our community greener.\n\n\n\nJoin Mayor Sloan Spalding as he officially proclaims April 26 as Arbor Day in New Albany and encourages all of us to plant trees to promote the well-being of this and future generations. Immediately following the Arbor Day Proclamation ceremony\, the City of New Albany's Forestry team will work with New Albany Plain-Local Schools students to plant 100 saplings in Resch Park. Please note that the Proclamation Ceremony is open to the public\, but the tree planting is a private collaboration with the schools. The Arbor Day Proclamation will be read at 9:30 a.m. at Resch Park which is adjacent to the Ealy House.
