DESCRIPTION:Join Healthy New Albany for our monthly Lunch & Learn series. Our October topic is "Hidden in Plain Sight: Addressing Substance Abuse in our Community." \n\n\n\nWe are privileged to hear from a panel of experts to share important information regarding substance abuse: - Debi Hampton and Dawn Steele with HART (Health Awareness and Recovery Together) - Officer Kelly with NAPD - School Resource Officer at NAPLS - Officer Rehnert with NAPD - K9 Officer - Chief Jack Rupp with Plain Township Fire Department As part of the presentation\, HART will setup a simulated teenager's bedroom with examples of potential warning signs of drug and alcohol use and other risky behaviors. In-person attendees are invited to come at 12:00 to walk through the bedroom and get lunch. The presentation will start around 12:15. There will also be time afterwards to explore the bedroom setup. In-person attendance is limited\, but we will also have a virtual option of the presentation at 12:15.
