DESCRIPTION:Why HR Needs to Embrace Big Data\n\nThe New Albany Chamber of Commerce is pleased to bring you Ralph Greco\, from the Business Analytics Initiative at The Ohio State University's Fisher College of Business\, to speak on trends in big data as it pertains to talent acquisition\, retention and HR measurements at the HR Council Breakfast\, 7:30am - 9:00am\, October 26\, 2016 at the Philip Heit Center for Healthy New Albany.  \n\n\n\nSmall businesses can benefit from this as well! Enjoy a hot breakfast while learning how HR and big data can impact your bottom line.  *You do not have to be a Chamber member or HR professional to attend\; the community is welcome.\n\n \n\nBig Data and Analytics are becoming prevalent in Human Resources. Multiple surveys have shown that Analytics is being implemented across all industries\, and HR organizations will spend a larger percentage of their budget on analytics\, tools and data in the coming years. The discussion will cover where the industry is currently with Data and Analytics and a quick dive into Employee Retention\, Recruiting and Training.\n\n \n\nRalph Greco\, Director   Business Analytics Initiative\, Fisher College of Business\n\nGreco joined Fisher after 25+ years working in technology.  He is a two-time graduate of The Ohio State (Industrial and Systems Engineering) and has worked for IBM\, Accenture and Sterling Commerce (later acquired by IBM). Greco works closely with college leadership\, faculty\, and staff to design and implement applied curriculum in the area of analytics for undergraduate students\, graduate students\, and practicing managers through executive education.  Greco is also a part of the team helping to shape and execute a strategic plan for analytics at the college\, including building relationships with partner companies and organizations through outreach and development efforts.\n\n \n\nHuman Resources Council\n\nThe New Albany Chamber of Commerce HR Council provides a venue to exchange ideas\, discuss employment-related topics and receive professional development and training. The HR Council events and seminars are offered to broaden and expand human resource knowledge and to keep abreast of changing legal requirements.  The HR Council is composed of representatives of companies who are responsible for the human resource tasks in their company\, including small businesses.\n\n \n\nPast topics include Americans with Disabilities Act\, COTA Transportation\, Social Media\, Hiring Veterans\, Healthcare Reform\, Today's Multigenerational Workforce\, Violence in the Workplace\, Creating Internship Programs\, OhioMeansJobs tools\, and HR as a Strategic Business Partner.\n\n \n\nWe want to know what programming you want!
