DESCRIPTION:The City of New Albany is proud to host Light Ohio Blue for the first time in the campaign's 11-year history. From May 6 16\, 2026\, communities across Ohio will come together to honor law enforcement officers who have made the ultimate sacrifice and to show support for those who continue to serve each day.\n\n\n\nLight Ohio Blue is a statewide campaign that encourages residents\, businesses\, and organizations to shine blue as a visible sign of appreciation and unity.\n\n\n\nHonoring Ohio's Fallen Officers\n\n\n\nAs we begin #LightOhioBlue2026\, we remember the four Ohio law enforcement officers who lost their lives in the line of duty in 2025:\n\n	Special Deputy Sheriff Larry Henderson\, Jr. (Hamilton County Sheriff's Office)\n	Deputy Sheriff Daniel Weston Sherrer (Morrow County Sheriff's Office)\n	Police Officer Phillip C. Wagner (Lorain Police Department)\n	Trooper Nicholas P. Cayton (Ohio State Highway Patrol)\n\n\n\nCruiser Caravan Kickoff\n\n\n\nThis year's campaign will begin with the annual Memorial Cruiser Caravan on Wednesday\, May 6 at 6:15 p.m.\, as law enforcement agencies from across the region take to the streets in tribute.\n\n\n\nCommunity members are encouraged to line the route\, display blue\, and show their support as the procession passes.\n\n\n\nMemorial Cruiser Caravan Route\n\n\n\nView the full procession route below\n\n	Best viewing locations include: the McCoy Center and BrewDog New Albany area\, Village Center along Main Street and Market Street (including the new extension)\, and along US-62 near the Windsor neighborhood and Plain Township Fire Department\n	Plan ahead for temporary traffic impacts
