DESCRIPTION:The New Albany Police Department invites kids ages 5 to 15 to take part in the first-ever "Cops and Bobbers" fishing derby! The event will be held at the Bevelhymer Park pond (corner of Bevelhymer Rd. and Walnut St.) from 8 a.m. to noon on Saturday\, July 29\, rain or shine. Awards will be given for the largest fish\, smallest fish\, and most fish! Re-furbished rods and reels courtesy of Cabela's Bass Pro Shops will be distributed while supplies last (50 available). Anyone interested should email Officer Leland Kelly at lkelly@newalbanypolice.org. Walk-up participants are welcome but must be prepared to be use their own rod\, reel\, tackle\, and bait.
