SUMMARY:New Albany Founder's Day Parade & Festival 2021
DESCRIPTION:The annual Founders Day Celebration was started by the New Albany Historical Society in 1976 as part of the nation's bicentennial celebration. The event has continued on in celebration of the founding fathers development of the area now known as Plain Township and the City of New Albany and is funded by donations from the community. About 7\,000 people are welcomed each year to Founders Day and we're very excited to hold the event this year at Rose Run Park.\n\n\n\nEVENT SCHEDULE:\n\n8:00am Healthy New Albany Rose Run 5K\n\n10:30am Rose Run Park Dedication\n\nFollowing the Rose Run 5K\, Healthy New Albany will sponsor various family activities around Rose Run Park\, the Marx Library Garden and the Heit Center parking lot as a lead up to the Rose Run Park dedication\, which will begin around 10:30 am. Mayor Spalding and other members of City Council will officially dedicate the park with New Albany families and businesses who helped make Rose Run Park a reality.\n\n11:00am Dr. Glyde A. Marsh New Albany Founders Day Parade\n\nStarts at New Albany Intermediate School & ends at Church of the Resurrection. 9:30am: Parade Lineup\n\n12:00pm - 5:00pm New Albany Founders Day Festival
