DESCRIPTION:The New Albany Symphony Orchestra is proud to present the 7th Annual New Albany Independence Day 5k Run & Walk Thursday\, July 4\, 2019. The event will offer a Toddler 20 Yard Crawl\, Kids 200 Yard Fun Run and a 5k which will have a Run & Walk Division. The races will begin and finish in New Albany's beautiful Market Square starting at 8:00 am for the Kids Races and at 8:15 am for the 5k Races. This event is a staple in the New Albany community and attracts over 1\,000 people every year! Enjoy live performances along the race course by the New Albany Symphony and local non-profit performing arts groups\, and after the race\, stick around for the New Albany July 4th parade. Food trucks\, apple pies\, the balloon lady and bomb pops a fun event for the entire family! All proceeds from the race will benefit the New Albany Symphony Orchestra and local non-profit performing arts groups including: NAHS Band\, Choir\, Orchestra and Theatre Boosters\, New Albany Children's Ballet Theatre and the New Albany Arts Council.
