DESCRIPTION:On June 29\, the City of New Albany held a soft opening for our new pickleball complex. New Albany City Council is planning an official grand opening for July 11 at 4 p.m. Signage and wind scrims are expected to be installed prior to the grand opening. The project\, which is located adjacent to the New Albany Public Service facility and the Michael Lucey Memorial Basketball Courts at the northeast corner of Walnut Street and Bevelhymer Road\, includes 16 pickleball courts and an adjacent parking lot with spaces for 64 vehicles plus parallel parking along the service drive to accommodate up to 40 vehicles. Additional features are currently in the planning stage.
