The Walk will be held on Sunday\, September 8\, 2013 beginning at 8:00 AM on Market Sq. in downtown New Albany\, Ohio.\n \n Organized by the New Albany Walking Club\, the Walking Classic is the largest walking-only race in the United States drawing walkers of Olympic caliber as well as recreational walkers whose goal is to walk for health and enjoyment. The Walking Classic offers two choices of distances a half marathon and a 10k. Participants in both distances will start together.\n \n The New Albany Walking Classic is a component of Healthy New Albany a 501(c)(3) organization whose mission is to promote a culture of health for those who live and work as well as attend school in the community.\n\n \n \n Expo Packet Pickup\n \n Packet Pickup will take place at the Jeanne B. McCoy Community Center for the Arts. Click here for driving directions. The packet pickup schedule that includes information about your race number\, merchandise and other perks is as follows:\n \n Friday\, September 6th\, 4:00 p.m. 8:00 p.m.\n \n Saturday\, September 7th\, 9:00 a.m. 5:00 p.m.\n \n \n There will be no race day packet pickup. Event merchandise will no longer be available after 5:00 p.m. Saturday\, September 7th.\n \n Photo ID will be required to be presented when picking up your race packet.\n \n Registered walkers will be permitted to pick up race packets for up to two additional registrants provided they have that registrant's photo ID (a photocopy of a driver's license will be permitted) along with a signed letter from the registrant granting permission to pick up her/his packet.
