DESCRIPTION:Halloween in New Albany  \n\nTHURSDAY\, OCTOBER 30\, 6-8 PM\n\nFor many\, Halloween signifies one of the biggest celebrations of the year.  Believe it or not\, people begin calling city offices in February asking when Halloween will be celebrated.  This year\, in conjunction with the Mid-Ohio Regional Planning Commission (MORPC) recommendation\, the City of New Albany's Halloween will occur on a Thursday since October 31 falls on a Friday this year.  This ensures no weekend conflicts with other school activities.  \n\n \n\nHalloween is a community celebration but not a city sponsored event.  As such\, the event will occur rain or shine and the city will not have a rain date.  Parents will need to use their best judgment in whether to allow their children to participate in the event of bad weather\, but this decision allows all who are planning large parties to have greater comfort in the actual day of the celebration.
