Join us for a women's self-defense class for participants ages 55+. This course called RAD, or Rape Aggression Defense, is taught by New Albany Police Officer Leland Kelley and New Albany Probation Officer Amy Boyd and has its foundations in education and awareness. It includes lecture, discussion and self-defense techniques suitable for women of all ages and abilities. The first class is a presentation on situational awareness and general safety, and the remaining classes are learning, practicing, and demonstrating hands-on techniques.
Schedule: Mondays, April 3 - May 8, 3 - 5 p.m. (six classes)
Location: The New Albany Police Station
Fee: There is no cost to attend this program
