This Kidz Home Alone workshop teaches tweens about the important decision making and problem-solving skills needed when staying home alone. This virtual class, taught by ?Enriching Kidz? instructors will give you and your child peace of mind when home alone.
Instructors will go over various home alone scenarios, and provide solutions for all of those ?what-if?s?. Students will learn:
- The reasons to call 911 vs calling parents
- First aid, safety, and Self-Heimlich Maneuver
- Microwave safety
- Fire escape and severe weather planning
A digital Kidz Home Alone manual will be emailed to the parents for the child?s use during class. An informative parent guide is also included which can provide a comprehensive list of important topics for family home safety conversations. For boys and girls, ages 9 - 12. 2-hour workshop in total, broken down into 2 different 1-hour sessions: Monday June 1 from 3:00 - 4:00 and Wednesday June 3 from 3:00 - 4:00.
