The New Albany Children's Ballet Theatre, the non-profit arm of the New Albany Ballet Company, creates a unique evening of classic ballet and original works by local and renowned choreographers in their Repertoire Concert. The performance will unfold featuring 22 pre-professional, high school dancers presenting excerpts from Esméralda's Grand pas de Fleurs and Pas de Six. Esméralda is the protagonist The Hunchback of Notre-Dame, an iconic work by Victor Hugo. The second half of the performance will be filled with several novel and excitingly edgy contemporary works choreographed by Amy Tremante, Maria Glimcher, Tara Miller and Jimmy Orrante. Guest choreographer and former principal dancer with the New York City Ballet, Christopher Fleming, will also be showcasing a new piece that will feature several of the dancers. Finally, guest performer, Sasha York, will be featured in her performance of the Grand Pas D'Esclave from Le Corsaire, restaged by Christine Mangia.
