Join cybersecurity experts and The Ohio State University’s Center for Design and Manufacturing Excellence (CDME) to learn how to best protect your small business from digital threats. Participants will learn about creating strong passwords, fundamental cybersecurity best practices, Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification for Department of Defense contracts, and recognizing and avoiding phishing attacks. Hear from expert speakers, then have time to take CDME’s Ohio Cybersecurity for Small Businesses Pilot training program for free. Funded [in part] through a Cooperative Agreement with the U.S. Small Business Administration, this program is designed to lead small businesses and nonprofits through steps to identify cybersecurity threats, respond to cybercrimes and develop resilient infrastructure. Participants should bring their laptops.
