Save the date for one of New Albany’s favorite family events! Join the City of New Albany on Saturday, August 22, at the Public Service Complex (7800 Bevelhymer Rd.) for Touch-a-Truck—a hands-on morning of big trucks, big smiles, and plenty of family fun. The event begins with a sensory-friendly hour from 9 to 10 a.m., followed by general admission from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Rain or shine, kids of all ages can climb aboard City vehicles, explore heavy equipment, and meet the police officers, firefighters, and public service professionals who help keep New Albany running every day. While you’re there, consider giving back to the community. We’re once again partnering with the Healthy New Albany Food Pantry to collect donations at the entrance. Most-needed items include canned meats and fish, instant oatmeal, hearty vegetarian soups, baking mixes (cake, brownie, cornbread, etc.), shampoo, and deodorant. We can’t wait to see you there for a morning of exploration, community, and fun!
