Alex Fischer, President and CEO, The Columbus Partnership, is the guest speaker at the New Albany Chamber of Commerce’s C-Suite Speaker Series Luncheon, November 8, 2017, 11:30 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. at the New Albany Country Club.
The Columbus Partnership is comprised of CEOs from Columbus’ leading businesses and institutions.  Economic Development, through the work of Columbus 2020 is the main focus of the Partnership, and provides the underpinning for all aspects of the organization.
As the sole winner of the U.S. Department of Transportation’s (USDOT) Smart Cities Challenge, Columbus will be a global teacher for cities around the world on how to “become Smart” by embracing the reinvention of transportation to accelerate human progress. The Columbus Partnership, representing the Columbus Region’s private sector, is the lead implementation partner for the grant program and is responsible for the initiative’s Acceleration Fund, which is credited as a significant factor in Columbus’ winning of the challenge.

About Alex Fischer
In addition to being the President and CEO of the Columbus Partnership, Alex Fischer serves as Chairman of Nationwide Children’s Hospital, a Trustee of The Ohio State University; serves and on the boards of Advanced Drainage Systems, Columbus 2020, Nationwide Children’s Championship, and The Ohio State Innovation Foundation.
A native of Hendersonville, Tennessee, Fischer graduated from the University of Tennessee in Knoxville with a bachelor’s degree in business administration and a master’s degree from the school of Architecture and Planning.  He has been honored with several community service awards including the Ernst & Young Supporter of Entrepreneurship of the Year and Postman Medal for his outstanding leadership in Business and Government.
