Independence Day Parade & Festival 2021
The New Albany, Ohio Independence Day Parade & Festival is a favorite annual tradition that fosters civic pride like no other. Presented by the New Albany Chamber of Commerce, the parade will start at 11:00am at the New Albany Primary School and end at the Church of the Resurrection.
This year's parade theme "Honoring Frontline Heroes" was chosen to recognize the many frontline workers who worked tirelessly throughout the pandemic. Representing all healthcare workers is Diane Doucette, President, Mount Carmel New Albany; representing all police officers is Greg Jones, Chief, New Albany Police Department; and representing all firefighters is Jack Rupp, Chief, Plain Township Fire Department.
Parade Awards are presented for Best Parade Theme, Mayor's Award (best community spirit) and Presidential Award (most patriotic). Rob Yanok and New Albany Chamber Executive Director Cherie Nelson are this years parade host emcees.
The Festival is 6:00pm-9:45pm at the greenspace at New Albany Middle School, 6600 E. Dublin Granville Road. This free family-friendly event features The Conspiracy Band, kids activities, bounce houses, ice sculpture demonstration, caricature artists & more!
