New Albany Trick-or-Treat 2020
New Albany, Ohio Trick-or-Trick (Beggar's Night) has been changed to Saturday, October 31, 2020, 4pm - 6pm due to inclement weather.
Trick or Treat Moved to Saturday, October 31
Due to the poor weather forecast on Thursday, and in accordance with attempting to keep our children out of cold and rainy weather at this time when colds and COVID-19 symptoms are similar, New Albany has decided to move its Halloween Trick or Treat celebration from Thursday, October 29, to Saturday, October 31, from 4-6 pm. The weather should be better for the event during this time and the event will be over well before the OSU football game. We encourage parents to use their best judgment in determining if their children will participate in Trick or Treat. For those who do, please dress appropriately for the weather and follow the Halloween-related health and safety recommendations on New Albany’s website at NewAlbanyOhio.org/Halloween.

From City of New Albany:
Navigating COVID-19 has not been easy but we are happy to report to you that unless something changes from Franklin County Public Health at the last minute, residents will be able to trick or treat in New Albany on Saturday, October 31, from 4-6 pm. Parties of more than ten people are still not permitted.
The following are additional safety tips from Franklin County Public Health:
Treat Givers
- Designate one adult per household to hand out candy or treats, preferably while remaining outside behind a table.
- Wear cloth face masks appropriate for COVID-19.
- Put candy or treats in individual baggies and lay them out for children instead of putting it in a large bowl for visitors to grab themselves.
- Provide hand sanitizer for trick or treaters.
- Disinfect doorbells, doorknobs or other high-touch surfaces outside your home.
- Get an influenza vaccine at least two weeks before Halloween.
- Do not participate if you or anyone in your household feels sick, has symptoms of COVID-19 or if you or a family member are under current isolation or quarantine restrictions from the
- health department.
- For those at high risk of complications, stay inside behind a storm door to watch trick or treaters from a distance.
- Turn off house lights if you are not participating this year.
Have a safe and Happy Halloween!
