Hands That Heal: CPR Certification – American Heart Association Get certified and be ready to save a life! This American Heart Association (AHA) CPR Certification Class teaches participants the essential skills needed to respond to cardiac and breathing emergencies for adults, children, and infants. Participants will learn hands-on CPR techniques, proper use of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED), and relief of choking in a supportive, hands-on environment. Upon successful completion, participants will receive an AHA CPR/AED certification card valid for 2 years.
What to Expect:
- This is a hands-on skills class. Participants will practice on CPR manikins and AED trainers.
- A skills evaluation and short written assessment are required to receive AHA certification.
- Certification cards (valid 2 years) will be issued upon successful completion of the course.
- No prior medical experience is required — this class is open to all community members.
