Independence Day Parade 2025

Mark your calendars for New Albany’s annual Independence Day Parade on Friday, July 4, at 11 a.m. Our “Too Fly for the 4th of July” theme invites the entire community to get involved and make this our biggest and best parade yet! 

Show off your creativity by designing a parade float that fits this year’s theme with your neighborhoods, nonprofits, and businesses. Need help? Join our Float Making Class (date TBD) for inspiration and guidance. Plus, microgrants will be available for nonprofits to support their float-building efforts! The parade will continue down the traditional parade route, and parade entry forms are coming soon.

Plus, resident parade participants and volunteers will have the first opportunity to register for our limited-edition resident gift pack, featuring fun New Albany-branded items. These packs are in limited supply (only 500 available!), so don’t miss out! Stay tuned to the City’s social media and weekly Connects e-newsletter for information on how you can take part.

A stunning fireworks display will begin at approximately 10 p.m. You can best view the show around Rose Run Park and the NAPLS campus.
