Lifetown Legends Luncheon
COLUMBUS, OH, May 4, 2018 — Hollywood Film Producer, Gordon Gray will shed light on the everyday miracles happening at LifeTown Columbus as keynote speaker for the LifeTown Legends Luncheon. The luncheon will be held May 30th, 11:30 am to 1:00 pm at the Renaissance Hotel Downtown Columbus. While known for films like “Miracle,” “Secretariat,” “The Rookie,” and “Million Dollar Arm,” he is working to create miracles here in Columbus! When his two young daughters were diagnosed with a rare brain disease, his desperate race against time for a cure has led to a potential medical breakthrough here in Columbus. While he seeks a miracle for his daughters, he will shed light on the everyday miracles happening for kids with special needs at LifeTown and recognize LifeTown Legends Honorees, Ron Greenbaum and Michael Schiff. Michael Schiff, owner of Schiff Capital Group, is a community activist and philanthropist throughout Central Ohio. He is past President of the Lori Schottenstein Chabad Center – home to LifeTown. He encourages local individual and corporate leaders to engage with LifeTown in giving K-12 students with special needs the life skills necessary to transition into living and working independently. “LifeTown provides real opportunities for kids with special needs to live and be effective in real-life situations, which is transformational for the young people there and hopefully for their families too!”, says Schiff. “When I visit LifeTown, I see the kids building confidence. They are growing a sense of fulfillment and overall happiness, which is so nice to see!!” Ron Greenbaum, better known as 'The Basement Doctor', is passionate about ensuring LifeTown kids succeed and soar on their own. He invests his personal time, his name, his company’s time and resources at a leading level to set the bar for other philanthropists in Central Ohio! Ron kindly supports additional causes in central Ohio committed to improving the lives of kids with disabilities. “Having two adults with special needs in my family, I know first-hand how important the exposure to everyday life skills is,” Greenbaum says. “LifeTown is about empowering students to become self-advocates and productive members of our community. It is an organization I am proud to support, and I am humbled to be honored at this year’s event.” Please visit www.lifetowncolumbus.org to purchase tickets to the 2018 LifeTown Legends Luncheon, honoring Ron Greenbaum and Michael Schiff.
