Music Together | Spring Session (11:30)
Music is fundamental to the human experience and there are a variety of studies which indicate that music can enhance our health, so Healthy New Albany loves including "Music Together®" as part of our community programs, as it provides another opportunity to cultivate and inspire healthy living in our community. These weekly, 45-minute mixed-age family classes include songs, rhythmic chants, movement, instrument play, and of course lots of fun! These activities are presented as informal, non-performance-oriented musical experiences- developmentally appropriate for children and easy for parents and caregivers, regardless of their own musical ability. Each week, a trained Music Together teacher leads the class in singing, dancing, and playing songs that range from tender lullabies to boisterous jams using child-friendly percussion instruments. Our award-winning music, illustrated songbook, and other print and online resources will help you continue the music-making fun at home and nurture your child's musical growth—even if you don't think of yourself as a great singer or dancer. Like parenting, making music requires no previous experience or expertise, just a willingness to get down on the floor and get silly with your child! Included in registration: a CD, an MP3 downloadable version of the song collection, a Songbook, a new family music development booklet, a Music Together growth chart, access to the Music Together Family Music Zone, and the free Hello Everybody app!
