Nourish Jr. Cooking Camp
Learn fundamental cooking skills in a fun, immersive environment!! This 4-week mini-camp is for students ages 11+ who are excited to get hands-on in the kitchen!
Session 1: “Food/Kitchen Safety and Measuring”
• Wednesday June 7 | 9:30 - 11:30 am
• We will make smoothies and crepes. Come ready to cook and try some new foods!
Session 2: “Knife Skills”
• Wednesday June 14 | 9:30 - 11:30 am
• We will make frittatas and quesadillas
Session 3: “Healthy Eats”
• Wednesday June 21 | 9:30 - 11:30 am
• We will continue building on the knife skills and kitchen safety we’ve learned so far and make a “light” veggie alfredo pasta along with some healthy snacks!
Session 4: “Let’s Bake”
• Wednesday June 28 | 9:30 - 11:30 am
• We will bake birthday cupcakes, whoopie pies, and granola bars (see - even baking can have some healthier options!)

About the Instructor: Sharon Dunn, HNA Nourish Program Coordinator, earned her Baking and Pastry degree at Columbus State and worked for the Cameron Mitchell Restaurant Group for eight years as a baker, prep cook, and line cook. Sharon and her family are New Albany residents and she has been involved in the Healthy New Albany community through the Farmers Market and now with Nourish, the community cooking education program.
