Plain Township Fire Department: Story Time At The Station

Join the Firefighters of the Plain Township Fire Department for story time! Story time is a combined hands on story time to introduce preschoolers to the firefighters and the equipment they use. Some children are scared by the look and sounds of firefighting equipment. Explaining how the equipment helps a firefighter stay safe while working is important. Becoming familiar with the role of the fire fighter and the sight and sound of the equipment can lessen a child's potential fear during a fire and encourage cooperation during life-saving fire rescue incidents.
