Wilderness Skills: Fire by Friction
In the old days, people knew how to walk into the woods and gather materials to make fire without any tools other than a knife or sharp stone edge. In this class we will focus on the basics of fire by friction which involves rubbing two pieces of wood together fast enough to make a coal that we can blow into flame. We will supply a bow drill kit, a knife for use and help you work on your form to learn the basics.
