NASO Independence Day 5k
The New Albany Symphony Orchestra is proud to present the 4th Annual New Albany Independence Day 5k Run & Walk presented by Orange Theory Fitness on Tuesday, July 4, 2017! The event will offer a 20 Yard Ready Set Grow Toddler Crawl, Maple Orthodontics 1/4 Mile Kids FUN Run and a 5k which will have a Run & Walk Division. The races will begin and finish in New Albany's beautiful Market Square starting at 7:55am for the Kids Races and at 8:15am for the 5k Races. This event is a staple in the New Albany community and attracts over 1,000 people every year! Enjoy live performances along the race course by the New Albany Symphony and local non-profit performing arts groups. All proceeds from the race will benefit the New Albany Symphony Orchestra and several local non-profit performing arts groups including: NAHS Band, Choir, Orchestra and Theatre Boosters, New Albany Children’s Ballet Theatre and the New Albany Arts Council. Come show your support and help us make 2017 the largest race to date for the New Albany Symphony Orchestra!

6:30 a.m. – Packet Pickup and Race Day Sign-up begins
7:15 a.m. – Program starts
7:50 a.m. – Star Spangled Banner
8:00 a.m. – 20 Yard Crawl and 200 Yard Kids Fun Run begins
8:15 a.m. – 5K Run and Walk begins
9:30 a.m. – Line up for Pet Parade. The parade will start as soon as the last racer crosses the finish line.
9:45 a.m. - Awards Ceremony begins (time is approximate)
10:30 a.m. – New Albany Independence Day Parade begins
