Mysteries of the Mounds
There is so much to learn about our community, the land, and the ancient people that lived on the land long before us. "Summer Nature Adventures: Mysteries of the Mounds" offers families the opportunity to learn about the local Earthworks/Indigenous Mounds created thousands of years ago.
Join our the HNA nature team and guests from The Great Circle Alliance, of Newark, Ohio, to explore stories, ancient artifacts, and symbols relating to these incredible mounds in Ohio. We will explore the stars, the land, animal symbols, and stories using our senses.
We will take a nature walk for the last 45 minutes of our program through Rose Run Park, along the creek. The land will guide us on this journey honoring and connecting our past, present and future generations.
When: Wednesday August 2 | 10 am - 12 pm
Where: Philip Heit Center + Rose Run Park
