The New Albany Symphony Orchestra is proud to present the 7th Annual New Albany Independence Day 5k Run & Walk Thursday, July 4, 2019. The event will offer a Toddler 20 Yard Crawl, Kids 200 Yard Fun Run and a 5k which will have a Run & Walk Division. The races will begin and finish in New Albany's beautiful Market Square starting at 8:00 am for the Kids Races and at 8:15 am for the 5k Races. This event is a staple in the New Albany community and attracts over 1,000 people every year! Enjoy live performances along the race course by the New Albany Symphony and local non-profit performing arts groups, and after the race, stick around for the New Albany July 4th parade. Food trucks, apple pies, the balloon lady and bomb pops…a fun event for the entire family! All proceeds from the race will benefit the New Albany Symphony Orchestra and local non-profit performing arts groups including: NAHS Band, Choir, Orchestra and Theatre Boosters, New Albany Children’s Ballet Theatre and the New Albany Arts Council.
