SENIOR DAY AT THE THEATRE
Local singer-songwriter and Grammy nominee Celeste Friedman presents a special day at the theatre for area seniors, featuring her tribute to Patsy Cline in a one-woman show, "You're Still Mine, Patsy Cline" at the Licking County Players Theatre, 131 West Main Street in Newark, Ohio.

A special afternoon is planned on Wednesday, May 4th for a 2:00pm matinee performance. Sponsored by DKG Internet Services, Songs For Charlie Music and The Newark Advocate, tickets are available in advance or at the door for a senior discount rate of $10.00 per person.

Hosted by Newark's own favorite radio personality Vince Swinehart, the afternoon will also be shared by area high school student volunteers serving as ushers and attendants, including the Mentorship for Leadership program. "Not only will this program offer a special treat for seniors, it's a wonderful opportunity for our aspiring youth to be part of the arts in our community", states Friedman.

Ms. Friedman presents a walk down memory lane, performing Patsy Cline's greatest hits, blended with stories of her rise to fame as a pop and country artist from the late 1950's and early '60's. Celeste's own bluesy, contralto vocal quality heralds the smooth and lilting sounds of Patsy Cline that we will never forget.
